For centuries, order reigned across the allied kingdoms. Kings, queens, fools, towers, knights ... These mythical beings who rise from their ashes after each fight, have lived for centuries in harmony and loyalty.
But one day, one of them... a fool... was becoming bored to have for his only destiny, that of being eternally sacrificed to protect the honor of his king, when it was not to be his entertainer. He thought to himself that by adding a little spice to the kingdom, life might become less monotonous. He began to develop some funny staging to entertain the court, sorts of plots that would push everyone against all through plans as insane as calculated. Soon it became a mania, not being able to stop annoying his own kingdom as well as neighboring kingdoms. It was with this mania that he became the foolish fool.
Proud of his naughty strategies, he gathered them together in a large book which he began to share with anyone who could find pleasure in executing them, allowing him to witness the spectacle, fruit of his imagination.
This great book was called Fool’s Mania but will be better known as…

Note: The game of chess originates from India, some pieces of this game have changed during its adaptation to the western world. The elephant has become, in English, the bishop, and in French as well as in Romanian, the fool. It is from this interpretation that the game fool's mania™ was born. In the context of the game, the fool is the same piece as the bishop in English.
